The Toyo Tranpath A14's came on my wife's RAV4 also. When new, they were good in the rain and excellent in snow. Now that they have 43,000 miles, they're at minimum acceptable tread depth, but they hydroplane and slip in wet weather.
I'll be getting a different tire, depending on how long she plans to keep her RAV4. I think you can find a better dry and wet weather tire fairly easily, but the week I drove in the snow, I was shocked at how well it did.
The Yokohama Geolandars H/T-S seem to get good ratings, but my wife is balking at the white lettering on them (is it on BOTH sides of the tire?). We saw another RAV4 at the mall with them and it had black lettering. Check
