Default RAV4 2006 tire pressure reset button?

I have a 2006 rav4 and the tire presuure monitoring warning light is always ON.I did checking the tire pressure(including the tire reserve),tire rotated, tire checked with no deformities and no nails seen..i just had 6,100 mileage.do you think resetting the tire pressure light will help, like the other toyota cars?so,wheres the reset button located.it was never mentioned in the manual.hope to see this before driving to the dealer which is a 3 hours drive from us...any other suggestions on how to turn ths warning light OFF?PLEASE HELP

It is in the manual. Look again. Also the light will come on when an oil change is due. Did you do an oil change and not reset the MIL?

There is no reset button or procedure to do on the '06, it's a different system than previous models. The TPMS lamp should go out when the proper air pressure in all tires is detected. Too much pressure will cause it to light also. The low threshold is somewhere in the 24-27lb range, dunno what the upper limit is, but one member at R4W had 44lbs, IIRC, and the lamp wouldn't go out until he dropped it back down. Some members run 38lbs and get away with it, but I run the recommended 32lbs and don't have any problems. Out of spec tire pressure does not cause the maintenance required lamp or the MIL to light up, see page 161 of the owner's manual. The maintenance required lamp will light up every 5000 miles as a reminder to change the engine oil, see page 136 of the manual for reset instructions.

TPMS

yeahhh.you are right Quickdtoo. Tire Pressure Warning light icon is different from Maintenance Indicator Light, for oil change.OK thanks,Ill try all the pressures for the tires to put the light off...but i still need to find a reliable and accurate tire gauge...hhhmmm digital VS pressure activated meter..which is which..

I had the same problem on my '06 as soon as the temperatures dropped here in TX. No matter what I adjusted my tire pressure to, the light stayed on.
Then I realized I had not checked all of my tires. Remember the spare on the back....?

That fixed the problem.

Exactly, the spare tire at the back did the magic for me too. Try that.
