Access to rear of stereo in 2006 RAV4

I just purchased an ipod adaptor that plugs into a port on the rear of the factory stereo. What is the procedure for removing dash parts to gain access to the stereo? I appreciate any tips on that. If it matters, I have the JBL upgraded stereo with built-in 6-disc changer. Thanks-Ken B.

Nobody seems to be stepping up to answer this question. All I really need to know is how to remove the front dash cover for the radio. I think I can handle everything else. There are no bolts showing so I assume the front dash radio cover just pulls off. I don't want to damage anything by pulling this cover off in the wrong manner or with the wrong tools so I really would appreciate advice from anyone who has already done this. Thanks-Ken B.

For anyone else needing to know how to remove dash trim for access to the radio, I have figured it out for myself. Here's the procedure:

1. Notice silver trim panels running vertically on each side of the radio. Take a screwdriver and carefully insert the tip at the bottom of one of the silver panels and pry the panel outward. You may have to use the screwdriver just a little also on the outside edge of the panel to get it all the way out. Once you remove the panel, you will see that there were 3 plastic inserts holding it in and that's why the screwdriver was needed to pry it out.

2. Remove the second silver vertical panel in the same manner.

3. Now you can see two 10mm bolts on either side of the radio. Remove all 4 bolts.

4. Look at the top of the radio for 2 additional plastic inserts. Reach in behind and depress those to make pulling them out easier. Now you can easily pull out the radio.

take a small screwdriver andpry the grills on eather side of the radio. there are four bolts removewith #10 driver the radio will be able to be removed.(this is for 06,07 rav4)
