Cool Cabin filter for Rav4 (?)

I Know my '04 Tundra has no cabin air filter, but I was told my wife's 2001 Rav4 does have one.

Can anyone tell me where it is, and how to access and replace it. (The Rav sits outside under trees, so I'm sure the filter is filthy.)

Thanks,
Randy

Yu obviously don't have an owners manual.

If yu suspect the Rav has a cabin filter, it is located in the air box. I don't own a Rav, But yu can go to any auto parts store and get a Purolator Cabin filter . In the box it will have instructions on where it gets removed/installed. On a Rav I believe that to be pass. side of lower dash.
Usually accessible by removing the glovebox on some models.

See this link-http://www.pureoil.com/smartlink/?partnum=C38188

Yu can even go to Pureoil.com(Purolator) and get the instructions in PDF format downlod. If one does exist for your Rav it will show that application among their Cabin filter selection.

my two cents

HEy Rphicks,
the user manual says it is behind the glove box. you have to take the box out to access the cabin filter. It is not an intuitive place for the filter but that's what the manual says.

Good luck,
