Don't have one.... yet, although after a test drive last week, I thinks it's a great base package, a bit like a blank piece of canvas. The 5 speed manual trans/2.4 pkg. is a great piece of work. One of those engine trans combos which work so well, so linear through the powerband. I'd rather see the speedo in front of the driver though. Vehicle rides well but there seems to be some suspension noise on highway, easily fixed with more insulation in floor, firewall & doors. Additional colors would be nice. What kinda of prices are you paying? Pics of finished XB would be neat....

I got a DC tundra last year, and now I have increased my driving to 30.000 miles a year, so I picked up a loaner this evening (08 model XB) so far i like it, but the miles per gallon have me concern, only getting 25 miles per gallon.

I have owned the regular 05 xb witch I still have and a 06 release 3.0 xb. As far as running around town you cant beat them. Both of mine got 35 mpg in town and 38 on the road. Prior to the 08 they were to small and boxy for freeway speeds. The 08 should be much better, but when you cut the mpg down to 21 city and 31 freeway, that is quite a hit. With that said I traded my 06 in on a 08 Camry that does get 23 city and 32 freeway. I like the 08 xb other than the no trunk thing. The experience I have had with the 2 I have owned is nothing but great little cars as long as you use them within there means.

Ditto to that. Come August, when the truck is paid for, I'm selling in my 05' Double-Cab outright, taking a couple grand from savings, and going out to pay CASH for an 08' (possibly 09') xB.

I can no longer stomach 14 mpg and close to $110 per week in fuel costs. The xB's 25 mpg average will be much easier to tolerate.

I drove an 08' a few weeks ago and was pleasantly suprised at the low noise, peppy motor and comfortable ride. Can't wait to get one.

Can you show some pics with the 19" TRD wheels? I just ordered them today and have a 2 week old silver xB just like yours, I wanted to see how they looked on silver. Thanks.

I'm thinking of trading in my wifes 05 4Runner in on a 09 Xb auto. The main reason is the 4Runner is out of warranty and costs $80 + a week in gas. Do you guys think it is worth it. I was offered $13,000 on tradefor the 4Runner. It is a 2wd SR5 V6 with 3rd row seats. It has 42,000 miles and is in good condition. The differenc in price would be around $6,000. Tell me what you guys think.

That is all they would give you for the 4Runner? WOW!
I know that there is not much of a market for SUVs now but that is crazy.
We have a 2005 4Runner 2WD and consistently get around 20 MPG (combined). The SCION will get around 24 MPG (combined). It doesn't seem worth it to me unless you get a lot worse gas mileage then we get in the 4Runner.

Hi! My first post on this (scion) forum. I just dropped of the wife's 07 camry xle v6 with only 12000 miles for a new transmission The dealership gave me my choice of an 08 camry or an 08 xb. I choose the xb for something different. So far it is a blast to drive. Might have one in the near future. Great little car.

Although I have not owned or drove an 08 xb, I have 2 of the first gens. An 05 and a 06 release 3.0. I cant tell you how much I like the xb's. I have a bad back and I have a hard time getting in and out of small cars but the xb seat is at the just wright height. For driving around town you can not beat them, expesually at 35 mpg. My wife has a 08 camry that is much more plusher and rides nicer but getting in and out of it is bad news for a bad back guy.
