I read in a magazine (can't remember which one) that under heavy acceleration the engine is loud and buzzy in the Tc. I had a 2001 Corolla havn't driven one yet but has anyone noticed this?

Yeah my tC isn't the quietest vehicle above 3K RPM, you really hear it when you hold in 2nd or 3rd gear and let off the gas. But I also run a 0-40W Mobil Syn which isn't as thick as the usual 5-30W so the valve train is a little on the chattery side.
