Thumbs up 2006 Scion TC

Hey eveyrone. I'm a first time car buyer and I love my new Flint Mica TC. For the price I paid, I couldn't come close to getting the features on another car that is comparable. Anyways, I was wondering if there were any other TC owners that were having trouble with rattling in the rear (usually the passenger side) of the car? It isn't a horrible "the car is about to fall apart" rattle, more like a muffled shudder that is more noticeable when driving at speeds of 25-40 mph. Any info or advice would be really helpful! Thanks!

Sometimes the back door stays rattle, but thats usually on the 05.
The wind deflector for the sunroof also rattles to, but supposedly that was also for an 05.

Yes, my new 06 (got it last November) has the same issue. My dealer has applied one fix - felt padding around the rear rubber posts at the 'bottom' of the hatch. That took care of most of the noise, but a small amount remains and I'm taking the car back in next week so the dealer can look at it again. Right now I'm beginning to think that the only final fix will have to involve putting the equivalent of weatherstripping around the entire hatch, but we'll see what the dealer says next week.

In any case, you're not alone. The good news is that so far that's the only issue I've seen with the car, and everything else has been very solid.

Sorry no one has gotten back to you. I'm not a Scion owner yet, just wondering how you are still liking the car.

Is it holding up to your expectations? How's the performance? What about gas mileage?

My wife and I both have huge gassers (Tundra and Sequoia). Looking for a 3rd vehicle that she and I can share that is great on mileage, but is still sporty.
