Question Towing and Roof Racks - Scion xB

I'm getting mixed information about roof racks and wonder if there are some preferred aftermarket models that would work well on my new Scion xB. Also, has anyone put a hitch on the back of one (xB, not roof rack)? I have occasion to haul a tool or two home from the rental place nearby. Not thinking of heavy stuff, just tillers and such on small trailers hauled a few miles at a time. Any thoughts?

The Yakima Q-towers can be had as a dealer option or direct from Yakima. Then various Yakima accessories like bars, racks, baskets, bike holders and enclosed carriers can be added.

Curt makes an xB hitch, harness and connectors for a total of around $200.

U-Haul evidently buys these items from Curt and re-badges them for total installed price of $350 with warranty.

The Curt/U-Haul hitches can then carry cargo and bike racks.
