Need wire color code for xB Tail, Stop & Directional

Hi all,

I'm installing a Hidden Hitch on my 2005 xB. I finally found a lift I can use. I have been quoted from $60 w/o wireing by a local grease monkey to $350 by my (former) favorite dealer. Turned out my (still) favorite son-in-law has a lift I can use after hours.

I am lookin for the wire color code for the tail lights so I can do as little damage as posible, those wires are thin!

If you just want running and brake lights without turn signals, buy a universal trailer wiring harness and connect it to a tail light wire. But to have turn signals, an adapter module is required because the universal U.S. trailer harness is 4-wire and the car is European 5-wire.

The European 5-wire system has wires for:
left turn
right turn
running lights
brake lights
ground

The U.S. 4-wire system has wires for:
left turn/stop light
right turn/stop light
running lights
ground

If you haven't already gotten your hitch, try etailers.com. I just ordered a curtis hitch and the T-One connector for my new Venza for $196 + free shipping. The T-One connector with tail light module and wiring to the battery $54 - makes the install very easy.... I did it on my 06 RAV 3 years ago... the entire install (hitch and wiring) took 30 minutes w/o a lift
