Just curious if the Scion's are really Toyota Quality, or more like little Suzuki cars, Kia's, Dijatusi's, Hyundai's, etc...

Scion is a brand name given to certain Toyota models for sale in the US. The Scion xB is called a Toyota bB in Japan, and has the same quality as any other Toyota. Suzukis are of the same quality as Toyotas.
I hope you didn't think we were going to let this one slide by. I have always been a fan of Suzuki and have owned several of their motorcycles over the years, so I am not bashing them at all, however, would you care to elaborate on that statement?
As for the Scion, yes I think they definitely have the same fit and finish as Toyota. Many of the components are obviously exactly the same. An example being the power window switches.

Suzuki also makes cars and SUVs and they are typical high Japanese quality. Scions are not something different from Toyotas, to be compared with the quality of Toyotas; they are Toyotas.
Perhaps people are perceiving that the "content" of Scions is less than other Toyota products. That is because they are the cheapest Toyotas.

I agree with most here and would go further to say that if your lucky enough to buy a vehicle completely assembled in Japan and not touched by Mexican, American or Canadian hands you cannot get much better. So while I know nothing about Scions, if they are Toyotas built in Japan I would bet on them being top quality. Personally after owning Toys for more than 20 years the declining quality for Toyota began when it became too expensive to import whole vehicles from Japan and Toyota then began building US assembly plants.

They're good cars. My brother owns an xB,I bought one a month after he got his
Do they even sell brand-new Daihatsus? LOL
Yep, maybe not here, but I was in Okinawa a month ago and Daihatsu is a major player in the domestic Japanese market. Daihatsus and Daihatsu dealerships all over the island.

I bought a new 1991 Mazda truck, 2.6L with timing chain, and in 150,000 miles the vehicle has been perfect, needed nothing, and is still like new. It was made in Hiroshima, Japan. The next year the Mazda trucks were made in Edison NJ as rebadged and redecorated Ford Rangers.
One of the reasons I appreciate my Scion xB is that it was also made in Japan. At almost 10,000 miles, it has been perfect, too.
The tC has the same engine as the Camry. 2.4L Four 160 HP.
I test drove a TC and it really was pretty peppy for a 4 banger. I was impressed with the whole car actually, mostly for the price of $17,750. Fit and finish was nice, good layout on everything. Handled good and cruised with ease and was fun to drive.
