Question 2006 Scion xA horn problem

Howdy everyone, I'm a new user and today a problem occured with our new, less then 2000 miles 2006 xA.

While driving on the highway the horn went of, beep-----beep-----beep-----etc. I pulled off the road and looked for a trouble signal on the dash but none. The only accessory we have is an RKE that was installed after the sale through the dealership (the Rke was installed off site) tho I guess it's a aftermarket product. The horn stopped after about a minute and we continued on our trip. Within 5-10 miles the problem occured again. This time I noticed the 'Airbag Passenger on - off' display blinking. After the horn stopped, again a minute or so, we turned around and headed to the dealership and talked to a service advisor who hadn't heard of te problem but said we could bring it in to the service dept the next day.

Any thoughts? My first instinct was the RKE but after the second event I thought maybe the problem was horn switch - air bag module.

Thanks,
Roadway.

I assume it's remote keyless entry, but that is standard on all scions. Whats happening is your car is in "panic mode" meaning your remote is emmiting a signal as if you were holding down the red button.

I am still trying to figure out why they had to install RKE on a car that has it standard and included. All Scions come with it.
