SequoiaGeneral discussion forum for the second generation 2008 and later Toyota Sequoia.
This is a discussion thread titled "Just Bought An '08 Sequoia (12/19)", within the Sequoia forum, part of the SUV Forums category.
Bought The Brand new platinum sequoia with EVERY feature. i had the '07 limited tundra but had no use for a pickup so this new sequoia is perfect. Im thinking about buying a game console for it .
i know the wii is the smallest next gen console but it has motion sensing controllers which arent optimal for back seat car entertainment. but i have a ps3 that i dont like or use and i could also put that in there. but my favorite console bu far is the 360. should i buy another one or just use my ps3?
any other stuff i could add on in there? besides a radar detector and a laser jammer which i prolly will add

Would you mind sharing with us some information on the pricing like the msrp, invoice, and how much you paid? This would be very helpful to the rest of us looking to buy in the near future. thanks
I'd be interested in knowing whether the center console in the second row is removable. TIA
Its not. At least not easily. It houses HVAC controls and vents and the heated seat controls. It is a two layered affair with the lower section folding forward so it matches the profile of the seats when folded down.

5.7, SR5 2WD with DJ,DR,LF,PE,RL,TO,BC,R1 option. MSRP 39085, Bought at 36103.43 = 0.92 of MSRP.
TMF (Toyota Marketing F?) = 985$, Financial Reserve = 352$. I believe TMF will stay same for all trims hence higher priced vehicle may seem better deal (0.91)
During my search i found that no SR5 is comming with Sonar (SO) package. The multi-information display is also not available yet for SR5. You cannot get factory installed rear spoiller (80$) without having moonroof. EJ (bluetooth and JBL system) is not configured without leather etc. Factory installed running board is also very rarely available so you have to spend 200 $ extra to get it port installed.
Can any one tell me how i can get multi information display (MPG, Miles etc). I may still me able to add it at port.
i traded my 07 tundra they wanted 29,000 for it with like 11.5k miles. i got them to give me 31,000. the sequoia was i think 62k before tax. it has thecold weather package, rear entertainment system, sat nav, 4x4, air tuned suspension, independant front +rear suspension, sunroof, 2nd row captain seats with a storage console and cupholders like in many cars in the front 2 seats, tan interior, pearl white exterior.
feel free to ask any questions about it.

Very nice. How was the dealership to deal with? How did they get the sticker up to $62K before taxes? The highest MSRP on a Platinum Sequoia with everything available from the factory is $58,695. Hard to imagine what the dealer could have added to get the MSRP up to $62K from the msrp of a fully loaded Platinum.
On the other hand, I think the 2007 Highlander was dead on perfect looking and the 2008 is bloated and a step down.
I would have bought a Highlander but my wife thought it was too small for our needs. And I did not like the AWD system as it can get stuck in more situations.

I'm sure you like this better vs the Avalon you also have in the picture. I traded the Avalon in for a hybrid 08 highlander limited does the Cruise control have the same system on following ahead like the Avalon does feature wise?
Would you like to explain any pro's and Con's so far and likes and dislikes on the new Seq?
Thanks Erik

Great looking truck same color scheme as my 06 Seqouia how does she drive is it have the same power as your tundra? I only have one small problem with it, and thats the instrument cluster I just don't like that look.
Other than that its an awesome truck good luck to ya.

I thought it was a g 35 too then I had to blow that picture up and Notice right away what it was. The hint was the Avalon on the rear and the Toyota Logo in the center..
