'06 Seq Limited Issue- Rear Fender Flare Came off

Curious if anyone has had an issue like this on their Tundra or Seq. We have an '06 Sequoia Limited with the added body moldings around the front and rear wheel wells.

My wife, 2 friends and I were cruising down the interstate when one of the 3 pieces which make up the right rear fender flare came off. Luckily there was no one in close proximity so it did not hit anyone or another car, but now Toyota is saying they won't fix it under warranty. Has anyone else had this problem or something similar.
