Default Clicking Sound @ Front Tires

Hey all,

When turning the front wheels, I hear a clicking/ticking sound coming from the front wheels. Thoughts on what could be causing this?

Any help would be appreciated. TIA

Ticking or clicking sound when turning is generally a sign of failing or failed CV joints.

I just realized that I posted this in the wrong forum. My apologies to the mods.

I don't remember there being any TSB's or recalls on the CV joints. Do any of you?

Also- how much does something like this usually cost?

It's an 04 Sequoia 2WD/SR5

If it's a 2WD, then there's no front CV joints...

Good point. There are no half shafts on the front axle of a RWD (2WD) vehicle, as such, no CV joints.

Is this when the truck is rolling/moving, or will it click when at a stop and just turning the steering?

If rolling, not just some rocks buried in the tread?

the sound is more when slowly coming to a stop and turning the wheel- not when the truck is rolling.

Maybe some slop in the steering rack?

Just wanted to give an update on this; I went to the dealer this am, and the tech said that the steering mounts needed to be lubed and that fixed it.

Thanks to all for your help.
