This is a discussion thread titled "2008 Scheduled Maintenance Guide", within the Sequoia forum, part of the SUV Forums category.
hey guys, check this out. iam lookin at the maintenance guide, and there's hardly any major stuff to do!!
just oil changes every 5000, air filter every 30,000,coolant at 100,000, plugs at 120,000. no mention at all to change atf and diff oil. the timing belt says to change at 90,000, but only the 4.7, the 5.7 must have a chain.

Looks good. I am still seriously considering the Toyota Maintenance Plan for $875. Let me know if you think its worth it. Based on my estimates it'll save about $500 in maintence expenses plus the extra benefits at the bottom of this post.

oh i got the pre-paid service for $875, but then the major service are not even major, the dealer said they will only perform what is on the coupon, but then will try to upsell you more, which i dont need. i read some where there is not even a auto trans dip stick!!! i still have to look, lol
oh, i looked, no dipstick, that kinda pisses me off, why cant i check my own trans oil!!???
oh well, at least i dont ever have to change it, since i dont have anything to tow yet

That is actually not unique...my '05 300C (and others) doesn't have one either...many think it is strange, especially pumping the hemi power through the trans.
First time to this Fourm- I have learned a lot from seveal of you- thank you for sharing some very good information.
When I bought the Plat- I did not purchase the agreement for the following reasons:
1) first time w/this dealer- don't know what kind of work they do.
2) Only good at that dealer-what if after 2 yrs we don't like each other anymore?
3)what if we move?
4) dealer plays the numbers-they know a certain number of customers will not follow up for a number of reasons- they are still a for profit organization.
5) "Click and Clack" "Car Guys" suggest that with today's tires, roatation is not as nessessary -unless the rotation is free.
