It sounds like he bought an SR5 with
out the TOAT option, which is the factory tow package. According to my parts manager, the retrofit tow package is in development, and will not be available for at least another 2 months. You can't use the Tundra set-up, since the Sequoia is boxed frame in the rear, as opposed to the C channel on the Tundra.
I'm in the same dilemma now for one of my customers who wants a tow package on his SR5 he bought.
My question is: what if somebody who has a Sequoia WITH the tow pkg gets ina wreck, and damages their receiver? Will they need to wait 2 months to get it fixed? I'm looking into a solution for this.
