Default Supercharged Sequoia, anyone?

Seems like TRD is going to release a 5.7L supercharger that is reported to put out about 504 hp according to the thread in the Tundra forum. Are any of you folks interested or considering getting one installed? I think it would make a great factory installed option if it's factored in with the selling price and covered under warranty. Or is that just too much power for a family/trailer hauler and unnecessary considering the rising oil prices?

Do TRD kits installed by a dealer void the warranty?

I agree. I was just discussing this with my service manager. He also mentioned performance mods such as programs and intakes. He said these are fine.

GM just announced that they will be voiding some warranty work on some of their vehicles that are brought in for drivetrain warranty service. This is the result of the 100hp+ programs being added to the Duramax trucks.

Looks like this 5.7 supercharger is going to be available on 9.12.08, according to the TRD website. $5875.00 List, uninstalled.

How much would it cost to install?

any idea on what real world performance figures are 0-60? qtr mile?

would it be unreasonable to think low 5s for the 0-60 ? I cant imagine breaking the 5 sec barrier with a 6000 lb truck

Not sure how well these things are actually going to sell. I mean with a market that has truck and V-8 car resale values plummeting, you must REALLY love your truck and plan on keeping it for a very long time to avoid this being a huge throwing away of money on a truck that is already a depreciating monster.

Those who don't mind dropping the coin would enjoy this added performance. I drive a ton and this is a mod I might consider. This truck is quick already, this sc would turn some heads. I'd also like to see some real numbers on this.
