SequoiaGeneral discussion forum for the second generation 2008 and later Toyota Sequoia.
This is a discussion thread titled "Tow mirrors", within the Sequoia forum, part of the SUV Forums category.
Since Toyota does not offer a towing mirror for this great towing vehicle I am looking for a good looking, preferably, custom snap on mirror.
CIPA offers one that is nice but not for Sequoia. The mirror on the 2008 looks close to the new GM products. Does anyone know if they are the same mirror? Or better yet, who makes the mirror for Toyota.
I have not seen a blog on this subject. If anyone has, please give me the address so I can add my two cents.

Just from what I have seen of the new GM mirrors (on Silverado/Sierra) they look much rounder in the top outer corners than those of the Tundra/Sequoia.

Why don't you just use a set of tundra towing mirrors?
Someone else had mentioned that in another Sequoia thread...I don't know if this guy found that thread yet...but I think it would fit just fine, since the mirrors seem identical...but then again, who knows?

someone should come over to our forum and post a request for a local temporary swap just to see if they will fit. that would benefit tons of people...if i had towing mirrors (man i want some) i'd find someone local with a new seq and swap them for a moment to check. they should work though...cant see why they wouldnt...

But does the one from the Tundra support the power fold function on the Sequoia limited?

I am fairly certain that the answer to that question is no. A lot of guys with Tundras have wanted tow mirrors, but I believe the general consesus is that they do not power fold. All other functions remain (heat, signal). I'm also not sure if they support the auto-dim feature either...
