Default iPod + Aux Input + Nav System

Just got the 2008 Sequoia Limited with the JBL Nav system with 4 disc in-dash changer, no rear seat DVD.

I'm going to add an after market rear seat DVD and would also like a real ipod port that allows control of the ipod from the Nav system.

1. It seems there are less drop down DVD systems on the market today than a couple of years ago. I'm looking at the Alpine PKG-RSE2 (Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. - PKG-RSE2). Anyone have experience with it? Does it have last position memory so that the movie will resume where it left off when you restart the car? Any other recommendations?
2. I do NOT want to use FM modulation. What's the best option for wiring a DVD unti into an AUX input on the JBL? I'm thinking of using the USA Spec PA20-TOY (USA Spec) which would give me an extra Aux input as well as the ipod functions I want. Anyone used one of these with the JBL Nav?

Thanks!

Default Re: iPod + Aux Input + Nav System

Traded emails with USA Spec. They said it will work with the JBL Nav system. but I asked some questions he didn't really answer:

Me:If you plug a DVD player into the Aux jack on the PA20 and you have an ipod plugged in, how does it decide which audio to pass? Do you have to manually select somehow?

USA SPEC:YES ON THE RADIO, YOU PUSH CDC8 and you will have the sound of the aux in, you will also see this option on your nav screen

What the heck is CDC8? He didn't really answer what happens if they're both on.

Me: Which input do I select on the JBL Nav to listen to the PA20 as a source?

USA SPEC:THE CDCHANGER or DVD

The JBL Nav has a built in dash 4 disc CD changer and doesn't have a DVD player other than just for the Map disk. So, huh?

I would still love to hear from someone who's done this before!
