Default Aux input

I plugged in my iPhone to the aux input and it doesn't work. I press aux on the nav and shows aux on. Is there anything else I should do?

Is the iphone sending a signal? I'd try plugging in a pair of headphones to confirm that the audio out on the phone is working.

I noticed that the volume from my iPhone needed to be up all the way, and the volume on the radio needed to be up as well.

I guess the headphone output is not that strong on the phone.

I agree. The volume control on the phone itself determines how loud it will be. I had my vol up in the 50's before I realized the Iphone needed to be turned up.

Apple along with many of the other MP3 players, have reduced or limited the output signal on the devices due to complaints that people were turning them up full blast and causing hearing damage with those in ear earphones. So intead of people taking responsibility, it was put on the manufacturer to reduce the output or face possible lawsuites.
