Default BBS RW 18" TPMS leaks - how about using strap?

After doing some research and calling BBS, they said there are two different BBS RW made for Toyota, one that didn't work with TPMS and one that does. I got the one that doesn't work with TPMS and I got my friend to help me installed with the TPMS on 3 with some washer to make it fit. One rim leaks from the TPMS. So I looked around and saw straps for TPMS.
DIY: Installing TPMS on your aftermarket wheels. - G35Driver

" 1) buy make a clamp kit.- stock # 4002 Breeze Make-A-Clamp Kit

cut to length

2) buy sheathing clips from home depot (picture 1)

bend it

3)route the band through the clip

4) put on the tpms by discarding the valve cap and unscrewing the body cap, put the tip through the clip, and screw the body cap back on to secure as shown in picture 3

5) strap the tpms at the dip of the wheels as close as possible towards the center of the wheel on the inside as show in picture 4

optional- you can use double sided tape on the underside of the clamp all around the wheel as a "just in case" insurance."

Any one tried this?
