thanks for the advice but from what I have read the sylvania ones are brighter/whiter but they dont last long. i have always been really picky about the lights on my cars/trucks. i always used bulbs with the HID look, but once I got the HID's on my 07 camry i realized what I was missing out on. Plus i already have the denso ballast. to top it off my sequoia is black so i really would like the bluish bulbs look.

I haven't really looked into the Sylvania bulbs much, but I did figure that they couldn't be all they were cracked up to be! I haven't taken a serious interest in changing my bulbs out...I might but I've thought about retrofitting and finding someone to do that but it's a lease...so I'm pretty sure I'll have to replace them when I turn it in...We'll see what happens...

I have installed HID's in my 08 Sequoia and they look awesome. I purchased them in ebay. I bought the 5000k models, which are the brightest/whitest light output. The bulb type for the 08 Sequoia are H11's. These bulbs will fit exactly as the OEM ones. I don't know the foglight type bulb off the top off my head but they are straight plug-ins as well. I have them but haven't installed yet. Here are some links to look at and hope it helps.

1. ebay site I purchased my HID's. Pretty reasonable price and guarantee: HID Xenon Kit 9007 H7 H8 5000K HB2 H4 H10 9145 10K H1:eBay Motors (item 170391961470 end time Nov-06-09 16:59:21 PST)

2. sylvania site to find out bulb type: http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProd...RG-Results.htm

Just doing a simple swap with HID's will make you grin from ear to ear when you see the light output. About 1000X better than the stock halogens. There is not much glare either. I never got flashed once when I had mine in the stock reflector.

Looks like this is an old thread brought back to life. Anyway, I'm looking at the V-LED HID kits for the H11 (Low Beams) and the 9145 (aka H10) for the fog lights for my 08 Sequoia. I rarely use the high beams so will skip those for now.

Does anyone have experience with the V-LED HID's? The low beam access seems pretty good. How is access to the fog lights? Can the housing around the light itself be "popped" off from the outside, or do you have to access everything from the inside/backside?

I've read some other threads about issues with the auto headlights and HID's with Tundras, but no mention of Sequoias. I know they're nearly identical, but may have subtle differences. Any tips/tricks/recommendations on an 08 Sequoia HID upgrade for the lows and fogs?

Yes, you can access it all from the front.

I wanted a High Intensity Discharge kit which is a very cool light and better visibility especially during night driving. I opted to go with the single beam HID kit too and love it, they are cheaper on ebay but I wanted a warranty so I got it here Sealed Beam Headlight Kits , or you can try one of the vendors. Also some of the forum sponsors selling Headlight Kits usually have a sale going on. Either way its a great system, and very easy to install.
