Factory oil: synthetic or not

There was a thread several weeks ago about whether the 08 Sequoia had synthetic oil from the factory.

The user reported that he received an email from Toyota that stated it did come with synthetic.

I just had my 5000 mile service done and the dealer stated that the oil was not synthetic, but plain motor oil.

Anyone care to provide proof to the contrary?

i had both toyota corporate and local dealer tell me that it has the syn 0w-20 from the factory. so for my 5000 the 0w-20 was used, but..... i will be switching to the 5w-20 for the next change, due to the fact that its a waste to dump the syn only after 5000 miles.
