Default Trouble after trip to body shop. Any input

Well our 08 hit a deer a month ago.

We got the truck back and they kept the hood. I remember seeing the truck and noticing the hood was bent a little after the wreck.

The problem is the hood bounces a little bit.

I mean that when you hit a bump or rough section of road it shakes a little.

You can really notice it on the lip that is closest to the windshield.

Ant ideas?

thanks

The brackets may not be secure, or the gas charged struts that keep hood open may have lost some charge. Did they replace those struts?

they said they never took off the hood.

If i open the hood all the way and try to move as high as it will go i can pust it another 1/8" or so.

Assuming you used them - work back through your insurance company. Somebody has pictures. Sounds like the latch is not adjusted as it was before the deer modifications. Struts are designed to lift the hood and keep it open. They are probably not doing anything to keep it tightly closed. All the rubber bumpers, closed hood contact points, in place? Consider visiting a dealer for a side by side comparison with your truck. See what other hoods do in the closed position.

solved. When the hood is closed there is play in the latch.

Stupid body shop workers.
