Hi all
I wonder if the 2009 SEQUOIAs are out yet.
If yes, then:
1) What features do they have?
2) I wish they will add to the Sequoias an ALL-WHEEL-DRIVE feature like the Land Cruiser and the LX570.
3) A Start Button wold certainly be a nice luxury feature!
4) How about a longer version too for the Long "XL" version?
5) A second Moon Roof would be a wow...for me? <Should I order a custom-made one for me only?!>
6) I guess above all...what price tag would it have?

Thank you all for your feedback and comments...
There is no difference between the AWD feature of the LX or LC and the 4wd Hi mode of the Sequoia. When you have a 4wd Sequoia set to 4wd hi (without the ctr differential locked), you will be running in AWD. With the Torsen center differential you will have a minimum of 32% of the engine's torque running the front wheels with a limited slip that enables the vehicle to run in this setting in all conditions (wet or dry) at any speed.
Not sure why you would view the LX/LC drivetrain as significantly different from the Sequoia's. In fact, they are nearly identical (same engine, slightly different ctr differential) and IMO I would say the Sequoia has a better set-up since you have the option of 2wd which is not available in the LX/LC. The only advantage the LX/LC drivetrain has over the Sequoia is the electronically controlled slow speed "crawler" mode if you're planning to do rock climbing (hard to imagine anyone taking a $70-80K new LC/LX out rock climbing).
I'd rather have the option of 2wd (Sequoia) any day over the slow-speed electronic throttle control rock climbing mode of the LX/LC.

While it is good to have the 2wd option...not having this option and only having full time 4wd will 100% gaurantee that you will not a rare mechanical breakdown/failure of the transfer case switching from 2wd to 4wd. One less thing to worry about.
If I had to choose. I would like choose the full time four drive set up of the LC/LX over the multi mode 4wd of the Sequoia.
I have both a 4wd Tundra and Torsen equipped Toyota 4runner. While my Tundra has never failed engaging 4wd it is always in the back of my mind. As for the 4runner, its always on. No need to ever worry about 4wd ever engaging.
Did you get much off of sticker on yours? I pick mine up tommorrow.
I'll find out Saturday. Although I picked it up yesterday I haven't signed the lease docs yet (The sales manager let me take it as a demo as our company has bought 30 plus vehicles from him over the past 5 years when he worked at a Ford dealer) as we're hoping the interest rates are down and the residual stays high. As long as the payment is around $1,000/month I'll be happy.
So, you guys are saying that Toyota Plant in Princeton, Indiana is back to work, right?!
What features are there?
Any new features for 2009?
Which trim are you guys taking?
All the best...share some pics with us plz
Mine is an '09 Platinum in Pyrite Mica with the Red Rock interior. I think it looks really good. I'm coming from an '05 Expedition and the Sequoia feels like a bigger truck especially the interior. It feels significantly roomier.
Also the number of controls/switches is unbelievable---I'll definitely have to read the manual for a change...I think it's only about 500 pages.
From the research I did I think the '09's are virtually the same as the '08's. i couldn't find a single spec which was different although I'd be happy to stand corrected.
Either way...I'm very impressed with the vehicle.

I wish to see some pics -if possible - of that Pyrite Mica... What trim (SR5, Limited or Platinum) did you select...is is a 4WD one?...All the best enjoy it!
Start buttons really aren't a luxury feature...unless a RAV4 is now considered a luxury vehicle?
Two sliding sunroofs would not be possible...not enough room for the glass of the first roof to slide before the second roof. You could get two flip-up roofs, but that would just be ghetto. The other option is the Webasto panoramic roof. The entire front half slides back over the second half. However, it is an aftermarket addition (with a great warranty, though) and the air diffuser makes noise at 80+ mph and especially on windy days.

Oooooooooooooooooo...RAV4 with a start Button is certainly not even close to luxury!.....
About the pic on the side you got in your reply..Does that Sequoia have a face-life or something...looks cool...can you sned large pics...
It's not a Sequoia. It's just a Tundra SR5 that I have customized to my specifications. Front end changes include HIDs and everything painted to match.

Good luck! Residuals on the 08 Platinum were down to 35% for a 3/36 lease though they quoted me a money factor of .074% (As close to 0% as you can get on a lease). It was actually over $200/month more to lease than purchase... pretty messed up.
