Now with slow sales and because they are discontuing the Sequoia you may be out of luck on that.

Hmm..interesting. I custom ordered mine. It took 2 months from order date to delivery but I got exactly what I ordered. It was not sitting on a lot and "finished" with my options either. I have a black Platinum with the Red Rock interior as well as just about every other option. You won't find many Black/RR Platinum's anywhere.

Welcome to the RR/Black Sequoia club. I think I may have been one of the first to place an order for this combination on Dec 15, 2007. I took delivery in Mid Feb 2008 and have about 19,000 miles and love the vehicle. Here's a few pics.

Got some good taste there, Brotha.

Looks exactly like mine except I have a sat. radio antenna on the roof, optional glass breakage sensor, optional shifter handle (which stays super cold this time of year) and the grille area. Your order sheet shows DLCC (Laser Cruise) but your grille is not notched. Did they make a change on the early 2008's or did your order get changed?

I added the XM tuner and antenna later since at the time I was unsure what tuner would be best given that XM and Sirius were merger early last year. The unit I installed was $279 off ebay and works great with all functions and controls on the steering wheel and the Nav unit. I think you'll particularly like "viewing" the installation instructions I used.

After reading up more on the laser cruise, I decided not to add it. I do alot of towing with a relatively heavy boat and I had read some earlier reports about how laser cruise can surprise the driver when exiting a highway from heavy traffic. Once on the exit ramp with no traffic in front of the vehicle, it will begin hard acceleration (as designed) however it might be unexpected when on an exit ramp...not a good thing when towing a heavy boat, so I elected to not add the option.

That's a switch to override the Nav unit controls so I can use the full BT phone capabilities and the full Nav capabilities while underway. The Toyota system was driving me nuts and it was either find an override or tear it out and replace it with an aftermarket Nav unit. Most of the aftermarkets lose alot of the steering wheel controls so I opted for the override. Here's a thread with more information DIY: All NAV Functions All The Time without Firmware Downgrade!

Here's a link with more info on the Speed Pulse Generator and how it allows you to override the Toyota lawyers....Uhhhh, I mean Nav unit.

I'm very pleased with the unit (although I widh it weren't necessary). In fact its problem one of the best modifications I've ever made to the over 30 vehicles I've owned, particularly since it was around $50.

I was also waiting for the merger to settle out (still can't believe the damn stock sank to $.11) but eventually ordered SIRI since I had XM on another car. Besides, XM customer service is a total waste of time. They placed my antenna "wart" on the roof, above the rearview mirror.

The laser cruise suprises me when someone cuts in front. It gets funky when you're cruising along and the thing slams on the brakes for ya.

Hey, My damn kids dont listen to me , my wife doesnt listen to me, people at my work dont listen to me, Why would you?

Im not here to have a war of words but it simply doesnt happen that way they dealer traded for yours. Ask a guy that works for a dealership to tell you the truth.

If it took two months they waited for a neighboring dealership to get it in and then delaer traded for it, Especially back then. probably had to hurt a little bit too
