Default Outside mirror controls...

Last night, as I was backing out of the garage, I noticed that the controls for the outside mirrors w/ not illuminated. All other buttons & controls were lit except the mirrors. Is it just me, or do I ned to check fuses/visit the dealer? Only have 2k on the ticker.

Except for the drivers window, my 4Runner controls are not illuminated either. I believe they're all that way.

ImolaMMM... Yes the buttons that control the power mirrors including the power folding button do not light up. Its funny, everything other button on the dash lights up except for those. Go figure.

Yeah...its one of my few pet peeves about the Platinum Sequoia. Seems rather cheap on Toyota's part if you ask me. There's no lighting for the exterior mirror controls or the second row of window switches on the driver's arm rest controls.

What's up with that? How much could it have cost to build lighting into those switches. Likewise couldn't they have made the mirrors with an auto feature to automatically fold or unfold the mirrors whenever the vehicle goes from Park to a drive mode? Or at least make the folding button function for a few minutes after the ignition key has been removed. I can't tell you how many times I've had to re-insert the key to fold the mirrors after forgetting to do so after shutting down the engine.

It's a pet peeve of some of us who drive Tundra models as well...I love the fact that my Double Cab has lot of features, but leaving out those little details like the lights for the mirror controls and back windows erks me a little bit. And as far as the "Auto" fold feature, you have to step up to a Lexus LS (or new body LX) to get that feature...it has three settings (OPEN/AUTO/CLOSE). The auto feature if I remember correctly opens the mirrors as the vehicle is unlocked and closes them when the vehicle is locked...Some day our luxury pick ups and utilities will get those features hopefully...
