Default Nitrogen in Tires

I just found out that I have a Nitrogen Air in my tires. But the problem is the tire pressure monitoring light is always on during cold weather or at the start-up. It will go away after some miles of driving. I went to a dealer shop and they just tap it. Any thoughts......

Hummmm ... the only bad thing with nitrogen filled tires is .... if you don't keep enough weight in the vehicle ... it will drift off into the sunset .. ... j/k ...

Seriously ... we have had nitrogen in our tires for a log time .. it is free and standard at COSTCO and we have had NO issues with nitrogen.

It is also standard issue on most tires on jet aircraft.

The tire pressure light should work fine with nitrogen and should be "issue free" as regular air.

Been running nitrogen since it was first available at my tire shop. Never had a problem.

Good one! For those of you that don't get this, this is basically compressed Air.

FWIW, there are a TON of articles out there, none of which have anything more than anecdotal evidence that 100% nitrogen is any better than compressed air.

Lots of arguments, but no scientific proof that is does anything more or better.

Like DLarkin, I also have run 78% nitrogen in my tires since I've had cars and never had any issues.
