With the fuel filler cap having no lock I wonder how you guys see it...any one for the heck of being childish could tamper with a big investmet and ruin a lovely Sequoia..
>>>Don't you think Toyota should consider a lock with inside control or may be one with a lock that only opens with a key!!
The door isn't controlled from the inside? That's really lame...they've been doing that since, like, forever.

You can always buy an aftermarket locking cap if you are concerned.

Guys, since I tried that other gas cap my check engine light is still on. I have the original back on now for about 3 days. Will the light go off by itself or does it require intervention?

Pull your negative off the battery for like 20 minutes to reset your systems. If that doesnt work then you may need an intervention

When I had my 1999 4Runner... I removed the EFI fuse, wait for 5 minutes or so... put it back... everything reset! I used to remove the negative cable, but remove the EFI fuse is way easy.
I'd better check to see if my Tundra has the EFI fuse.

Are saying just to pull the fuse? Ignition key should remain off?
The manual says there is like 3 fuses for EFI so I guess I'll pull all off em.
Just another FYI here. The check engine light went off by itself the other day. I have since purchased the proper locking cap and the light has not come back on. Moral of the the story is.......
