So what about us Platinum owners? Are we SOL? The Platinum uses a pearl white (Arctic Frost Pearl) which is very different from the flat white (Super white) used on the SR5 and limited.
I've always thought such a big/thick chrome grill was was too "honking" for an SUV. I can see how it works for a Pickup, wherein it serves to create a sense of muscularity. If doesn't work well for an SUV though. It only serves to accentuate the hood bulge, which makes the front look like a Durango. I've always wondering what either (i) a body colored grill might look like, or (ii) a thinner chrome grill might look like.
After seeing the pics of the black SR5 I really like the colored grill. Too bad its no dice for Platinum owners.....at least for now. Pay top dollar and get screwed......thanks Toyota!
Mine actually came in the other day but it's still at my dealer. I haven't picked it up yet due to my door handles being on back order. I guess if my handles don't come in tomorrow I'll pick up my grille and slap it on. I'll post up pics as soon as I can.
A few parts came in so I installed my grille today. I was also really stoked that the inner grille piece came black which I was planning to paint black anyway. The stock inner piece comes in gray so all I really have to do is paint the sombrero emblem black. IMHO it really makes a huge difference with the front end and it takes away that Durango look.
That's hot. It really gives the Sequoia a more refined look.

Yeah, that certainly works well. I like it a lot in the white. It's tough to tell if it will work in all colors, but certainly the black and white work very nicely!!!
It definitely takes away the Tundra "look."

I just picked up my colored keyed grill from the dealer.I will have to re-install my t-rex billet grille and i am thinking of painting it black.I will hopefully get it done by the end of the week.I am dropping of the t-rex grille to be painted tomorrow and i am also thinking of painting the fog light cover to match the bumper.
