Well, after long awaited for this awesome rig I finally got one on my drive way. I tried to hold off a bit and land a 2009 or maybe a 2010, but I could not pass up an amazing deal. The wife and I are expecting our 3rd child so the Sequoia fits in perfectly for our growing family. I'm having the front 2 windows tinted this week and replacing all the chrome pieces(handles, caps, and grille.)

I need to keep mine at 35% because of MA laws, so your gives me a good idea. How much did it cost you?
32/35% visibly no difference. I asked for the darkest legal tint & the guy told me that it w/ 32%. Personally, I think they're one in the same. The guy charged me $90.

I'm actually tinting my windows myself. I have some experience with tint and having to do just the front 2 windows will be pretty simple for me. Bought the 35% tint on ebay for $15 with $5 shipping. Hopefully it will be at my doorstep by this weekend and I'll definitely post up some pics sometime soon.

I was looking at that too. But I have ZERO experience with tinting, and it seems that you need a bunch of special tools to apply them. I started doing the math and realized that it may be cheaper to go down the pro install route. I mean, do you really need all that special installation stuff??? I'd love to do it myself and take the wifey to dinner with the remaining $70.

There really isn't no special tools to install tint...just a sharp blade, credit card, painters tape, and soapy water. But I totally do hear you one that part about taking the wife out or even buying the kiddos something new.
I'm also planning to slap on some fender flares too but not anytime soon. I pretty much think I spent enough funds for now without the wife wondering where it all went.lol
So they apparently shipped me 20% instead of 35 and I'm pretty satisfied with the way it came out. I'm so used to having 20% in my Tundra that I was sorta thinking that 35% would of been a little too light to my liking anyway.

That came out looking great!!! SO you did this yourself, eh? I've been watching some DIY tint videos on youtube and I may actually attempt this myself. Tell me, how soapy does the water have to be?
