Default Wait to get Xm/serius?

Looking to install xm/serius to my 08 with factory nav. I've heard there are new radios/recievers coming out that will let you get all the channels of both? Or can I do that now with current products out there? Logic says to wait a little longer till the merger smooths out a little more. any thoughts?

The combined channels package is available now, on the existing equipment.

The Serius/XM merger was completed many months ago.

The latest news is as of last week, Serious/XM has avoided bankruptcy by selling 40% ($530 million) of the company to Liberty Media Corp.

BTW, Serius/XM stock closed Friday at $.145 per share, up $.015!

Not to hijack, but a coworker of mine wanted to add sirius but was told by Toyota that she could only add XM because the sirius "tuner" is no longer being made. Is this true? I added an aftermarket radio to my tundra so I am not familiar with using the stock radio to support sirius. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Sorry vehicle is a 2008 Sequoia Limited with no Nav.

I have the Toyota, Sirius hardware in my '08 Plat. w/ nav.

I havent heard that the hardware has been discontinued. Maybe the latest hardware is branded 'XM/Sirius'? I can't imagine the new stuff would only be branded 'XM'.

Or, maybe Toyota has a lot of "pre-merger" XM radios they are trying to get rid of.

I'd have to dig up the paperwork for the part #'s, but. . .

The factory nav sys has the sat radio input button, we just had the Sirius tuner & an antenna added.
