Default Possible to remove middle seat in 2nd row?

Does anyone know whether it is possible to remove the middle seat in the second row when the 2nd row is the bench seat? I searched all prior threads and didn't find the answer. I'd like to have the flexibility to do this so I can have a pass-through to the third row (it appears that the ONLY model that allows this by design in the Limited that comes with the (rare) captains chairs option).

I was thinking the same thing. I did not get a close look at the mounts buy I suspect it is possible since all three seats slide individually. I would guess that you would have to plug the four holes that would be there after removing the seats and put a mat over the area which would be done anyway. I'll have to look into it with more detail, but like the idea.

Yes, it is possible as I do it on mine. It is fairly easy to do, but you have to be very careful not to tear the seat covers on the other seats. There are only 4 bolts that hold it in. The flanges on the back that hold the plastic floor cover on are what can cut the side seats. I cut a piece of the storage area carpet to run down the center. Works and looks great.
