Torque rating for trailer hitch

I need the torque rating for a reese after market hitch. The ratings are not in the instructions or the car manual.

Are you using a bolt to secure the "ball mount" in the receiver? If so there will be no torque specs from Toyota or Reese for this application. Normally a "hitch pin" secured with a "cotter pin" is used for this application. You can use the bolt method as an alternative, however make sure you are using at least a grade 8 bolt and I would even drill the bolt for a cotter pin for added security (should the nut ever loosen).
