Default Sunroof Speed Sensitive Wind Deflector Disable?

Does anyone know how to disable the sunroof speed sensitive wind deflector?

I find it extremely annoying that around 40 mph or so, the sunroof wind deflector is constantly moving up and down, up and down, stoplight to stoplight.

Speed up......errrr whiz up......slow down......errr whiz down, over and over......

Thanks!

After you open up your sunroof, press the button as if you are going to close it and then quickly press it again. The sunroof will move about an inch and that keeps the wind deflector down whether you are going 10mph or a 100mph. No more annoying whizz up, whizz down.

It's pretty cool because it allows you to have the sunroof open on the freeway without getting wind in your face and a loud buffeting effect that happens in some other cars.

When you hit around 40 or so a motor moves a deflector in the sunroof to redirect the wind. I can see Appleton's point about how it can be annoying if your speed bounces around 40 but I think it's a cool feature to have.

I had a 99 Grand Cherokee and the sunroof was worthless because of the buffeting " Helicoptor sound" effect. When the sunroof was open you had to lower the rear windows to release the pressure.

The Toyota solutions seems to fix this.

Is this a standard feature in all Sequoia's with sunroofs?

I would assume it has to be. I've never seen it as an option. Mine's an SR5, so if it's on mine, it must be on all trim lines with the sunroof.

thought all cars had a deflector on theirs....everyone ive ever had had some sort of pop up deflector to prevent this...just not an automated one that goes up and down based on speed....

If you open just 1 rear side window, you'll get the helecopter sound again. LOL

I like to lock the window controls and then do that when the wife is nagging me... which really makes the situation much, much worse, but I enjoy it anyhow!
