Default HID Projector lights

Has anyone found a good manufacturer on HID projection housing and bulbs?

The best bet is to purchase the components individually and then do a retro-fit.

Acura, Mercedes, and BMW are the top choices for parts.

I just did bulbs and the ballasts/ignitors. I am very happy with the outcome. I went 8000K slight blue tint. The amount of light output is 10X the standard bulb. I drive back roads and need the extra light.

With those who did the HIDs, have you gotten flashed by passing traffic? Anyone aim their lights after the install? I only ask because I'd like to go with some HID sometime down the road, but saw something about how improperly installed/aimed lights may cause problems - namely, blinding oncoming traffic. Would love to hear some input.

i went with hidfoglight.com a few years ago for my 08 tundra and just ordered another set from them for the '10 Seq.
he sells a 6000K or 8000K digital ballasts with a relay harness....alot of the vendors sell their system w/o a relay harness, which can weaken your factory wiring harness 'cause the HID ballasts draw alot more currently initially in the first 1-2 seconds of firing up... like 2-3x the current load of factory wiring..... the relay takes care of that obvisouly...
no one flashes me in the tundra with 6000K bulb.... seq is same lens/housing so....

We did a full retro-fit on the CrewMax. No one ever flashed us because of the electronic blind (beam cut-off) from the BMW projector housing. Here are some pics:

Penguin! Do you have DIY instructions anywhere for that mod with a parts sheet? OMG, I'm all giddy like a schoolgirl, and I think I even felt myself urinate a little bit! Seriously man, that's what I've been looking for!

I'd have to check through everything on my old laptop to see. My wife and I did those back in early 2007.

There's a wiring diagram I used somewhere.

Penguin,

I'll be anxiously waiting by. But if you can't find it, no big deal. I just hope you won't mind answering a few questions regarding your mod!

The HID Projector Headlight kits are AUD$400 a set. It includes a pair of projector lens, H4 Hi/Lo Magnetic Movement Bi-Xenon kit and integrated CCFL halo rings.

Did you make those? or did you have a company put it together? I would love to have a set, but I have no time/talent to make them...
