i just wanna take off those giant chrome emblems on the lower left and right of the back hatch. i figure a heat gun and some floss should do the trick.

So the badge on the door (SR5, LIMITED, PLATINUM)...is that just glued on as well? And how do you remove the badges exactly? I know people always mention heat and dental floss, but I don't see how standing there flossing my teeth is going to make the badges dissapear!

No, I jest, I know you're supposed to use the dental floss to slide underneath the badge and kind of "peel" it off, but I don't know how hot you need to get the glue? Can I just use a hairdryer?

shwaaag - you can use hair dryer. Use fishing line work better than dental floss.

the badging is just held on with 2 sided sticky tape. they peel right off, you just need to get them started. be careful and watch the edges/corners of the badges, they can dig into the paint as you lift them.

the hair dryer or heat gun just softens the stickiness of the tape. sun will do the trick as well. i did not use any additional heat other than the sun
