Default Voice Guidance on the Navigation System no longer works

The voice guidance no longer works on our new 2008 Sequoia. It seemed to have started when we installed the Nav override although that could be a coincidence. I looked in the manual and have not been able to find why the voice guidance is not "talking" and giving the driving directions. It does talk for all the other commands, it just does not speak any longer when you input a route and are driving the route. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get the voice to talk to me again or could it possibly have something to do with the nav hack being installed? Thanks!

I should have checked this before I posted, but I just went for a drive and it is from the nav override because when I switch off the overide, the voice can be heard
