Default Front Skid Plate

I just purchased a new 2010 Sequoia Ltd. I would like to hear some opinions on whether or not it is worth investing $375 in a "Front Skid Plate." // I have had them on my previous SUVs, but don't know if they really saved me from any harm. I do not expect to do any serious off-road 4wd, but I do drive gravel and dirt roads a lot.

Default Re: Front Skid Plate

IMHO, no! Save that cash for a good set of tires if you do that much dirt/gravel driving. You should already have what resembles a skid plate under there. For what you do, that will keep the gravel and small pebbles out of the engine compartment.
