This is due to the angle of the car seat shell and the fact that the height of the seat is greater than that of the vehicle seat back. Removing the outer headrests is simple of course, however neither ourselves or the dealer could figure out how to get the centre headrest out. It doesn't seem to have the same release mechanism as the other headrests.
Has anyone managed to remove this headrest and if so, what's the secret?!
Thanks

There is a traditional tab on the drivers side of the head rest where the head rest goes into the seat. On the passenger side there is a small recessed hole in the little piece that sticks up out of the seat. You need to stick a small screwdriver in that hole and push in the small tab that is in that hole to release that side lock.
Let me know if that helps.
