Default Remove bench seat centre headrest?

Hi all,

We pick up our 2010 Limited shortly and one of the reasons we chose the Sequoia was the ability to get 3 child car seats across the 2nd row bench. However to get the best possible fit for the toddler seats we have to remove the headrests. This is due to the angle of the car seat shell and the fact that the height of the seat is greater than that of the vehicle seat back. Removing the outer headrests is simple of course, however neither ourselves or the dealer could figure out how to get the centre headrest out. It doesn't seem to have the same release mechanism as the other headrests.

Has anyone managed to remove this headrest and if so, what's the secret?!

Thanks

There is a traditional tab on the drivers side of the head rest where the head rest goes into the seat. On the passenger side there is a small recessed hole in the little piece that sticks up out of the seat. You need to stick a small screwdriver in that hole and push in the small tab that is in that hole to release that side lock.
Let me know if that helps.

Thanks for the info. We pick up the car a week on Friday so I'll try it then and post back on how it goes

Cheers
