Stupid question here. How can you tell for sure if your Sequoia has the package. Is it standard on all 2008 Limiteds? My window sticker doesn't mention anything about it. My Sequoia, (2008, 4x4 Limited), does have the factory receiver hitch, Oil cooler, and Trans cooler. I am assuming, (yea stupid I know), that it does in fact have the package. Is there a VIN code for it? Thanks for the help.
If you have the factory tow reciever in the back you have the tow package. Especially if you have the limited model. The vin will show nothing about a tow package and I am kind of shocked there is nothing on the main sticker. I am going to check mine.

Good point. I do indeed have the magic button. I don't tow but the package has some good equipment that is nice to know is there. I see the radiator is higher capacity, Trans cooler and the lower gear ratio.
Thanks for the help. It still seems weird that it isn't itemized on my sticker.
Tow package is definitely a great addition to have. It is also a great resale feature. I have an SR5 and as mentioned it says tow/prep package on my sticker. I did not know that the limiteds came standard with it. The main reason I wanted a Sequoia was for the towing capability and man can this thing haul!

When I was coming back from the Indy MOTO GP last weekend a guy in a sequoia blew by me going uphill towing a probably 28-30 foot boat. I was in my jeep with a motorcycle trailer behind me doing 73mph. I thought NICE!!!! If It would have been a ford/chevy or nissan I would have said something different...lol
it'll pull anything you want, at any speed you want, as long as your willing to pay for the fuel. i found that out when i went camping last time, gas mileage just drops through the floor.
yeah, that whas the only aggravating part about my trip, well that, and i couldnt get the pilot lit, or the fridge to turn on, or balance the camper, i'll do better next time though.

If thats all that went wrong on your FIRST trip, you are lucky. I dont have time to tell you about all that went wrong on my 1st trip, plus it will have thread hijack written all over it.
I have an 08 Sequoia and bought a 33 foot, 8500 lb. Rockwood travel trailer this year. I had never towed anything in my life as of about 4 months ago...I just got back this weekend from a 600 mile round trip. I was driving 70MPH in some instances with the A/C on full blast, kids watching movies in the back, and cargo area fully loaded, and had no problems whatsoever. The Sequoia is a beast! The downside I averaged 8.6 MPG while towing...
On Sept 25th, I'm getting ready to go on a 3 week vacation, and this will be a true test. Will be driving over 3000 miles round trip, and the Sequoia will be towing our camper the entire distance.
I do have a propride hitch, this also helps alot...
