Exclamation Help! w/ rear axle on 2004 Sequoia

I just had new bearings pressed on to my axle shafts, but now I can't seem to get the axles into the differential! When I put them back on the other day, it was smooth and no trouble; now it seems to me that it's hitting something in the differential. I can barely feel the spindals, so it's right on it, but it won't budge past that. I've twisted as I've tried to seat them, with no luck. Is there some trick to it? Not sure what to do next, as my wife's truck is in my garage on jack stands and no way to get it to a mechanic! I'd appreciate any advice.

Is the bearing pressed all the way and the snap ring is seated in the groove?
