Default Dealing on an 2010, need advice

Have an 04 sr5 sequoia, and dealing on an 2010. Its an sr5 with 5.7, 4wd and fabric seats. Msrp of $43,180. Checked two dealers and best price is $41,484. Problem is that its the only sr5 thats close and still is 700 miles away, so there is an added destination charge. Actually the local dealer is offering me a better deal than the dealer thats holding it. Both will give me $15,000 for trade in. My 04 has 72,000 miles and is in good shape, except rear hatch doesn't want to open sometimes(is the 2010 better in that regard?)

Toyota has no incentives now, and local dealer has nothing but platinums coming in(too rich for my blood). Wondering if I should say the heck with it and run the 04 till the wheels fall off; however I like to trade every 5-6 years. Guess I should have done this earlier for an 08, but hindsight is 20-20.

Incentives should be released on 3 Nov. If you can wait, might save you some cash.

I posted awhile back and am waiting to see what happens with incentives. When looking at most dealers in PNW region they have the "Platinum" editions sitting on lots and your right not a lot of SR5 inventory.

Get a platinum and keep it for 10 years. You'll have everything you want, or will ever need in that period anyways. Hold out for 0% financing if you can get it. Running it that extra 5 years will pay off. My wife bought a 96' camry xle, loaded, when she got out of college. Just hit 290k, she's starting to drip a little, but the cost of ownership has been nil. The wife's cost of ownership has been high though.
