Default 2008 sequoia rear tire wear problem

I have a friend with a 2008 Sequoia 275- 20 tires (?) that has worn the inside of the rear tires to the core in 60,000 kilometres/38000 miles. It had a 4 wheel alignment 10 months previous and the dealer did not indicate anything was wrong. Today they say everything is up to Toyota specs. Nothing they can do.

Does this generation have a problem with premature wear tire wear? My guess would be that the dealer misaligned the rear end (he said it is independent) or the original specs are in error. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had this problem and was told it was an alignment issue. I noticed the wear after trailering a lot one summer.

if you guys look at other Sequoia's on the road moving....you will notice that the rear tires have a slight camber. Mine had the same issue, but it went away when I went to a 22" rim/tire. Not sure if the stout build of the tire cause it not to "sag" like stock does.

FYI my stock was the 18" wheel.

My '08 SR5 has the same negative camber situation and when I noticed it, it concerned me. I read somewhere here on another post that it is pretty normal due to the IRS and most hadn't had a tire wear problem. I've got granite alloy 20's on mine with fortera tires and no worries so far.
