Howdy Y'all!

I just bought my wife a '05 Sequoia SR5. It really appeals to me because it's a Big Fast Tough truck as Darrell Waltrip says about the Tundra.

Anyway, it's really the Mommy-Mobile, but I still enjoy driving it. I got the nice Michelin LTX's on there along with the alloy wheels. It took me a few weeks, but I finally convinced my wife we needed a new exhuast. I told her the stock one had a recall on it!! She didn't buy it. Anyway, I went with the Gibson single (as a compromise) and it should be here next week. The K&N is already in and I could tell the difference when she was driving it tonight. She put me right back in the seat a few times, and even slipped the tires on a gravel road. YEEE HAWWW!

Anyway, I've already found a ton of info on this board and it's been well worth the money. I just joined tonight and I'm very impressed. Thanks for providing such a good place to share knowledge.

Default Greetings

I had checked out the forums before and decided to join today.
I've got a '02 SR5 Sequoia that my wife drives a bit more than me. We have 45K on it and over all have liked the vehicle. Some small problems.. Rear window stopped working, oil pressure display, rear wiper stop loose, most receintly rear windshild wiper is not working. All in all nothing major and all handled under warranty during the oil changes with a smile at Shore Toyota. The catlyic convertors were replaced on a tsb and the computer was reset, and we got better mileage! We just went on a 400 mile run and are now averaging 16.3 mpg. Not bad for a cruser this big. I'm looking for tires now, any suggestions?
I was looking at Bridgestone Alenza. Thanks Clem

Just purchased about 3 weeks a 2005 SR5 for the wife. We traded her 04 Lexus RX330 for it. We needed more hauling room. It was a fairly loaded SR5 with leather, sunroof, limited wheels, and rear DVD, but it needs some stuff.

I ordered a rear spoiler from http://toyota.autowebaccessories.com/ and have it at the paint shop now. I also ordered a 2006 Solara Navigation unit from www.oemvalue.com and the BEC104 rear view camera off ebay.

My next project will be the Toyota TRD wheels made my Enkei called Deep Six. It's my favorite wheel that I have seen so far. I will try to post some pics as soon as I get a chance to take some.

Hi, I have had my 05 Sequioa Ltd (fully loaded with luxury package - 2nd row bucket seats, dvd etc) for 5 months now.

We are avid skiers and with 2 growing kids our Grand Cherokee Ltd, four sets of ski equipment and weekend luggage, didnt cut it.

I have to say, with the toyota fitted DVD & NAV system its a pain not having a multi CD changer or any ability to plug an ipod into the system. I have used the audio jacks in the back of the center console for the Ipod but you only seem to be able to get the audio via the wireless headphones. No good for the front passengers. Would also be nice to "jig" the DVD playback (when moving) in the front so the passenger can watch.

Irrespective of the above, the Sequoia is awesome - space, power and luxury.

Im originally from Scotland and trucks like this are just not available. This makes coming to America worthwhile ....... among other things

Just wanted to say Hi...very happy owner of a Steel Blue 05' SR5 Sequoia, new in April. I tested all the big SUV's and always came back to Toy, there is no comparison in the other markets, Thanks Toyota!! Future plans include larger all terrains, the aluminum step bars, and maybe some additional skid plates underneath. I don't buy 4x4's to not use em' got to get em dirty.

Default Hello

Just bought (previous owner says "stole" ) an '03 Sequoia Limited 4WD from a private party. They had a large familly but didn't think the Seq was easy to load all the kids into, so was parked in favor of a minivan. It had been sitting basically unsed for about 6 months, only 16k miles, over a year left on factory warranty, the truck even still smells new. I was looking at a 4Runner to replace my Jeep Gr. Cherokee but ran across an ad in the paper. Immensely happy with the purchase. I can already see that this is a great site, looking forward to learning from you guys and hope I can help out sometime.

Hi. My wife and I just purchased a used 02 Sequoia. We finally broke free of the minivan chains. I have had several Toyotas in the past and I am looking forward to a long relationship with this one. It is great to see a forum dedicated to Sequoias. The forum I belong to for my Jeep Wrangler is a tremendous help from time to time.

Red face Newbie and lots to learn...

I'm new to the group but have already seen a lot of information that is helpful! Great resource! I, too, am moving up from a 4Runner..a 1998 with 204,000 miles on it. It's still running great and I love that vehicle, (see carsoup.com) but we're looking for a bit more room. Soooo....I bought a 2003 Sequoia Limited in Phantom Gray (love it) that has a salvage title. The front end was completely gone (spare the engine) when I got it and I'm almost done with the re-hab. I have a few electrical things to ring out (as usual) and you'll see some of my posts to that end. Please let me know if you can help! I've learned a lot about this truck during the last five months and if I can help with any posts of yours, I sure will do so.

Thanks,
Rob
