Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/Owners Introduce Yourself Here!
Hello,
My wife just took delivery on a new xB with a five speed manual transmission. She loves her little car! She needs a roof rack to carry ladders and is interested in adding cruise control.
She'd prefer a roof rack that looks good and installs permanently. I've seen one from jcwhitney.com that looks promising but I'd like to know if anyone else has had success with it before I jump.
What is the best way to go with the cruise control?

Hey there everyone. From what I have found this is the best site to be a part of. I'm joining because I love my 2003 Sequoia Limited. Glad to be a part of the community.

Hello All, Cars I own now are all Toyotas except one a Lamborghini Countach. I have owned pretty much only Toyota products since my first Supra in 1984. I traded that for a '87 Turbo Supra (gave that to my first wife in a divorce and she totaled it in two weeks) an '87 4 Runner,a'94 Camry,a '94 TT Supra (still have it and only 36k on it) 6 speed, targa, red w/tan, '01 4Runner traded for '01 Sequoia traded for '04 Land Cruiser just traded back to '06 Sequoia Ltd. Currently new wife drives '04 Rav4 and I just got the new Sequoia... lots of other various cars also in the past.
The main reason I'm here now is I'm having a hard time finding the electric brake controller harness under the dash...I can't locate the female side of the connector. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello Everyone,
I found this site while searching the internet. I bought my first Toyota Tundra about 5 weeks ago after driving Ford trucks for the last 34 years. I have been impressed with it so far. I will enjoy hearing responses other have so I guess I will get busy and start reading.

HMMMM, It may be tucked away either up or down from that location.
You might have to remove the kick panel and door sill plate.
You do have the towing packag right? There is a hitch.
This is strange.

Hello, I have an 02 Sequoia and am wondering if there is a way to get better than the 16 mpg I have been averaging for the last 35K miles. Is there a diesel conversion/drop-in that's available in the states. We live in central Florida. Do you know of anyone that does good diesel conversions in this area?

Hello,
New member here today, after reading for a month or two. I purchased a 2006 Sequoia SR5 in May and absolutely LOVE IT! I am the previous owner of 2 4Runners, bought and sold a Nissan in between because I missed my Toyota so much! My labrador is happy to have his retracting rear window back, as well!
Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/Owners Introduce Yourself Here!
Hello! My name is Glynn, and I live in the heart of Cajun Country (Crowley, LA).
Owner of an '06 Black Sequoia Limited. It has been a dream of mine for a long time. Really enjoy the great ride on the open highways. Just wish I could get better mileage. The black paint job really shines with several coats of Zaino car polish! What a pleasure (and with great pride I might add) to sport around town after it's washed.
Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/Owners Introduce Yourself Here!
Hello all,
We just replaced a '99 Grand Cherokee Limited with a 2002 Sequoia Limited in solid black. We also recently switched from a Subaru Outback LL Bean wagon to an '04 BMW X3. The Sequoia was intended to be "my" car, with the wife driving the Bimmer, but after her first drive in the Sequoia I think my wife wants to renegotiate.
We live in Alaska, so having at least one severe weather-capable truck-based design was a priority.
Wanting reasonably comfortable seats for occasional transportation of up to eight passengers while retaining at least a little cargo space limited our options to the Sequoia, the Suburban/Yukon XL, and the Armada. Bottom line: we liked the tidier exterior dimensions of the Sequoia, and we also had more confidence in Toyota reliability (hopefully we won't be proven wrong).
We passed up a very nice deal on an '04 HEMI Durango mostly due to lack of stability control and an eighth seating position. We feel very good about the purchase so far, but we're still in that "honeymoon phase".
After the painful negotiations were completed and we'd signed all the paperwork, the finance and insurance manager handed us back to the salesman, who walked us out to the car and handed us our key. KEY (Singular). No spare, no remotes, just a single key. The salesman did an amazing job pretending not to know why I was upset at the prospect of spending $100+ on spare key and remotes. I know, I never should have assumed anything about how the car was equipped, but DANG!
This was not at a Toyota dealership, but at the same Jeep dealership we're we'd had the Jeep maintained and frequently repaired.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to learning all about our new Toyota. Thanks to the hosts and moderators for making the forum possible!

Hi,
I have been a member for a year, but this is my first post.
I have a silver 2005 Sequoia, SR5, gray leather, I have added a Airaid replacement filter and TB spacer, Filter Mag, a custom warn winch mount and winch, which I fabricated from a Tundra mount, very easy, Donahoe 2.5" front spacers, Daystar 2 rear spacers, 265/70/17 BFG AT's on stock rims, and some Toyota stuff like the rear cargo cover, Weather Tech cargo mat, cargo webbing and bug deflector.
It has been a good truck, other than a few problems, the VSC going on when it should not, still, even after the TSB was performed and a slight engine shake during cold start.
