Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/Owners Introduce Yourself Here!
I have an '04 Sequoia Limited 4X4. After the extended warranty runs out, I'd like to enhance my vehicle for better off-road performance without losing the daily-driver street performance. Thank you to all the contributers of this forum.

Hello All,
We have had a 2002 Sequoia Limited for about 4 years now, it's Thunder Grey, (has latent colors in layers, cool!) about 100K miles with very little trouble, (rear latch got damaged from slamming it with the latch in the closed position...kids!) some brake rotors etc. We couldn't be more pleased!
This vehicle prompted me to get a '04 Tundra for myself,...awesome!

Hello everyone,
I had a 96 limited 4runner with a TRD supercharger and old man emus with a 2.5 inch lift. It was my favorite car of all times until I rolled it on the freeway hitting black ice. Since then I replaced it with a 2003 4x4 limited Sequoia. I changed out the original shocks with bilsteins and switched everything out from the old (premium????) JBL 10 speaker system to a polk audio and kenwood 8017 deck system. I am trying to figure out the picture upload on this website. I have pics of my radio install. Thanks for having such a cool site. After my install, I felt obligated to post my pics because everyone else helped me out on this forum.

Hey Ya'll-
I've got a silver '02 Sequoia SR5.
I love reading the posts on this forum and have pulled many helpful hints and suggestions from it. For example, my TRAC OFF and VSC TRAC light pop on and off (no ENG light though) for no apparent reason and produce no apparent effect . Hopefully, I'll be able to add my two cents once it's diagnosed.

I picked up a used 04 ltd 4x4 with about 90K miles on ...broken in by now...so far it is a dream to drive the 'bus' I traded my '00 Maxima for it as we need a boat hauler and something to fit all the kids gear in. Our '04 FX35 was getting too full on trips but now the garage is getting full.....loving it so far...
I am having trouble retracting the pistons into the caliper. Chilton's guide is not very helpful for this. It shows that you do not have to remove the caliper to take out the brake pads and load the pistons. It has a diagram of using an unspecified tool to press the pistons into the calpiers. I've tried it this way and it doesn't work. Does anyone have a specific suggestion on how to load pistons into the calipers?
Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/Owners Introduce Yourself Here!
Greetings,
I am migrating over from clublexus.com. I have learned a lot and contributed a lot over there. I still have my 2002 Lexus GS300 but it is for sale. We called it Black Beauty. I recently acquired a 2004 Black/Silver Sequoia with tan leather interior with 41,000 miles for around $19K. I thought it was a great deal so I could not pass it up. My research showed that many 2003 models with 60k plus miles were about that same price. I found the Sequoia on ebay but it was my last choice because the pictures did not do it justice. They were not clear and taken indoors. Since it was the only black one near me, only 60 miles away, I went to look at it. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it trying to hide my jaw dropping from the salesman in an attempt to keep my "poker face" to keep the deal in my favor. I thought to myself "I know what I am driving home today".
I have been looking for a full size SUV for a while as the Lexus has proven to be too small for vacation and unsuitable for my business. My vehicle of choice is actually a Yukon Denali but I am done with domestic cars and the poor Quality/reliability. I drove quite a few vehicles and it came down to a choice between the Nissan Armada and the Toyota Sequoia. I did not like the very large obtrusive area around the side rear view mirrors on the Armada. It was like driving with blinders on. Also the Armada drove like a tank. I like the Sequoia so far. I am impressed with the ride. It is very Lexus like. I am disappointed in the complaints on this board about the towing capacity but I have yet to tow with it so I will have to form my own opinion about that. The only other complaint I have is the lack of any place to put a subwoofer. I don't want to boom but I would like better sound. I will likely make my own box like the stealth box to put in the rear storage area. I don't want to install a speaker box and use my valuable cargo space. I do find the overhead console with 5 sunglass holders to be quite ridiculous. 2 holders would be too many. It seems like they could have done something else with the space.
I just installed nerf bars today by Smittybilt and they look good and are very functional. My next project is to install a double din DVD/MP3/AM-FM player. I have my eye on one on ebay that also has bluetooth. I do want navigation but I don't want it in my head unit. I don't want navigation interrupting my movies. I will likely add tint, upgrade the speakers and add remote start. I put remote start in my Lexus and it was one of the most difficult installs I had undertaken. Now that I know what to do it should be easier on the Sequoia. I don't plan to do much more than that. I pretty much do everything myself coming from a technical background. My ID over at clublexus.com is exsys2000 if anyone is interested in looking at my previous work.

Hi..Im new to the site. Ive been to a couple of dealers now looking to upgrade my 2000 Tacoma (4x4) to a 2007 Sequoia 4x2. I've seen a couple that I like. I would like to purchase within the next few weeks to a month but don't want to get porked. I was just wondering how much I should expect to pay on an MSRP'ed '07 Seq. at $37.4k. The sales guy (he was a real ***- ) said it was marked up $3k which means it was marked up at least $4k+ . I would like to find out from recent (2006-07) Sequoia owners what THEY actuall paid (OTD) for this truck...tnx in advance for your response.

Hello all. I've had my '02 Sequoia since it only had 3 miles. Now it has about 81,000 miles. Also, it has starting to show its age by having the typical maintenance issues. I've joined to get some help in fixing some of the issues and hopefully being able to share some of my experiences so that others can learn from me as well.
