SequoiaGeneral discussion forum for the second generation 2008 and later Toyota Sequoia.
This is a discussion thread titled "Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/Owners Introduce Yourself Here!", within the Sequoia forum, part of the SUV Forums category.
Welcome Ken, Mehul, and genxguy! Welcome to TS.com.
Mehul, did you ever find Bill's phone number for the Springs? If not, it's 707-678-3944.
genxguy, not sure about the brushguard and ski rack. Take a look in the galleries or post a question about that. You'll find tons of helpful people around here.
Again, welcome and please let us know if you have any questions. Dan
I am now the new owner of a 2002 Sequoia Limited (silver)... 42,400 km with remote starter added, moonroof (was that an option in '02?)... $47,900 CAD (approx $35,800 USD). I am extremely happy with the new acquisition. Changed the four pin trailer wiring harness for seven pin, and next week will be getting the electric brake controller installed (in location where the forward ashtray is) and having a couple of minor mechanical defects rectified and then I'm off and running for camping season.
A quick question for the group/moderators - in the private areas what kind of documentation is available? Are parts lists, repair manuals, etc. available? I'm trying to decide whether to subscribe to Tundra Solutions or Alldata, or both.

Well I joined awhile back and finally took delivery of my 2004 2WD Sequoia. So far it has been just great. I already installed the Magnaflow exhaust with the K&N Intake and what a difference that made. I am currently installing the Vizualogic headrest monitors with a Nav system and a indash touch screen monitor. As soon as I get some pics I post them. Great forum by the way..
Just picked up our "new to me" 2001 Sequoia Limited. Only 36K on it. In great shape as there was only one owner. Gray. So far I like the SUV a lot, but will admit I'm still learning all the ins and outs of the vehicle
montana1492, Ndcent1, and little dog, Welcome to TS.com. Glad you found us. Have fun with your rides and please let us know if you need any help. There is tons to read so have fun. Boone
Stumbled across this site and looks pretty cool! Hellooooo
01 thunder grey with 52k so far, been very reliable brakes done at 40K and new sneakers at 45K . My alrm is on the frits at the moment it sporadically will just go off and sometimes i find the back window down. The dealer has yet to figure it out. Says a new unit is $1800. This is my 5th Toyota truck and this is the most trouble I've ever had with a toyota. I do love it big and a comfortable ride.Been eyeing the doublecab tundra in black sweet looking
Just wanted to greet the forum. We bought our Marlin Blue Sequoia SR5 on Dec 31, 2003....Toyota of Santa Barbara (great!). It's named Marlin (of course) and we find ourselves overpersonifying the thing way too much....In parking lots we look for the furthest spot away from the dingers and my kids say "Oh Marlin wants to park there"...If we can't find a good spot we look for another Toyota Tundra or Sequoia (the kids think the cars must talk while we shop). I know tooo Weird!!!
We had looked all over the state for a Salsa Red one but couldn't find out. But now we're hooked on the Blue. Great two tone taupe/blue comb. It has all the trimmings possible for the SR5 except no 4 x 4. The moonroof is awesome.
No problems so far (4000 miles). Have noticed it revs sort of high sometimes as I idle at a light, but someone told me that it's the V8, since I haven't had a V8 before. I was glad to leave that ford Windstar behind. Now I'm COOL!
What's the best place to order the hood guard from? Any discount suppliers that are well respected? Thanks for help!
BTW, my sister has the 2003 Sequoia Sr5 too, named Sherman (get it?).
deja vu-- last month we also ditched the Windstar for a Marlin Blue sr5 Seq. with moonroof, alloy whl pkg #2, JBL stereo upgrade and a few more optional equipment items. Didn't really realize how big the Sequoia was until we got it in the garage. It dwarfs my 98 Explorer. The Sequoia is my wife's daily driver and our vacation rig. We've had no initial bugs to work out. My only complaint is that I wish the cloth upholstery was a little more plush and I'm concerned about the potential of wearing out or breaking the fold down armrests on the front seats--anyone had any problem there??
This and the Tundra forum are great! People are so upbeat and the number of problems seem so small. Contrast it to the ford truck enthusiast site, which is also a godsend when trouble shooting, but then there seems like there are so many more troubles to shoot. Just yesterday, I tried to rent a U-haul trailer and they refused because I was driving the explorer. I see a Taco or a Tundra in my future! In my college days I owned a 76 Celica GT and also a 76 Carolla. I wonder if they're still running. Its great to be here!
I have about $3000.00 Dollars to Spend To Beef UP My 01 Tundra 4x4 TRD Edition
Hello, my name is Steve, and I am a new member to T.S. I have been wanting to do some modifying to my 01 Tundra and have $3,000 to spend. The only upgrade I have done is put on BF G TA Ko Tires on the stock wheels.
I have been reading alot of posts in different forums and would like some suggestions on what I need to do to get my truck ready for Four Wheelin.
I use the truck alot to go off road to get firewood for my house, and alot of the area's I go into are various conditions.
I would like to lift my truck both suspension and body lift.
I would like some different tires and wheels.
I want to install Borla Exhaust Dual.
I would like to install a body lift if necessary.
I really need the ground clearance. Their is so much information here it is overloading me. I have looked at alot of the picutres in the forums
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am new to this forum
I have been lurking this forum for a while with the plan of purchasing a Tundra DC. Well, my situation changed as my wifes 2002 Jeep Cherokee lease rapidly deteriorated. We (she) was way over on the mileage, out of warranty, and the transmission started slipping! So we decided to cut our losses, get out, and jump into "Tundra with a 3rd row of seats." Fortunately, my wife has wanted a Sequoia for a couple of years.
So, Friday we bought a 2004 Sequoia Limited. I wanted silver. She wanted black. We got black. The options that we desired are:
CD changer
Side airbags
Rear spoiler
DVD pre-wire
Carpet mat set
Sunroof deflector
The options that we got "extra":
Side mirror signal upgrade
Running lights
Window tint
Skid plate
Overall, the deal was quite painless as I followed the fightingchance.com method. My negotiated price was $218 above invoice minus $500 military discount and $1250 4th July factory discount. $39,805.
I have never owned a vehicle this fine.
Purchased a lifetime TS membership to go with it. You have been a great help in making this an informed decision.
Next, will be an extended service contract from Troy.
Scott
