Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/Owners Introduce Yourself Here!
Hi - I've just joined. I'm a mother of three, living on a small farm in southern Vermont with my husband and family. We have a 2001 Sequoia that we bought with 55k miles on it. It has carried or towed the most amazing things! We love this car, but have had to do a lot of work to it - currently have the ticking sound in the engine which was diagnosed as an exhaust manifold crack, differential cover corrosion perforation which is leaving differential fluid smelling up the driveway.
We've also replaced brakes, the rear door handle, antennae, and rear window assembly. But at 109k miles, the car runs pretty darn well. My husband had installed a remote starter for our cold mornings. The cold mornings cause the check engine light to go on this winter and the code was about the oxygen mix in the exhaust, I believe. They've turned it off twice and it keeps going back on.
Anyway - thanks for having this forum. I'd love to read more about your vehicles!
Best,
Mary

Hello everyone, I just joined the forum today! I'm happy to have found this site. Hopefully I will get a good wealth of knowledge about Sequoia's through here. I just bought an '05 Sequoia with a small amount of miles and I'm looking to get some stuff done to it as soon as money permits. Have a GREAT weekend everyone and I'll be talking to y'all soon!

Hi all,
Another new member here, this seems like a great forum! I'm hoping to buy a used Sequoia soon. And as any used vehicle includes some risk, I'm anxious for your opinions whether any particular model year of Sequoia might (possibly) avoid the more expensive issues I've read about on this forum.
Look forward to chatting with you!
-Stacey

Just bought an 07 Sequoia two days ago. Fun to drive except for a low rumble at higher speeds like 60. Not in drive train and speed related so I think it's tires. Any thoughts? Love this forum. It helped me decide to buy one even though my buddies say buy American. I told them it's made in Indiana for-Pete's-sake. Thanks for any responses. Yes I searched for tire and rumble noise and unable to find what I think I have.

Hello everybody. I purchased an 04 Sequia SR5 4x4 new in December of 03. Except for the front brake rotors which need replacing, the short life of the stock Dunlops and replacement Dunlops, the sqeaky moonroof that took a few trips to the dealer to get fixed/replaced, the intermittent problem with the rear window's funcionality, the intermittent shake at highway speeds, the malfunctioning 3rd row seat, the VSC light coming on whenever my wife fills up and doesn't tighten the gas cap, the drivers seat that I just can't get comfortable in, the poor towing performance, and the lower ball joint recall, it's been a fantastic vehicle.
Glad I found this place so I can keep the dealer honest. I wish my Sequoia was as trouble free as my old 01 4 Runner.

muncle,
There has been some discussion on this, but can't remember the exact thread headings. My '07 Sequoia does the same thing. I know that others have written that they're gone thru driveshaft balancing, wheel balancing, etc to no avail. I'm up for my first oil change (freebie from the dealer), so I'm going to start asking a few questions.
