I totally doubt that they'll say anything about new trims that they'd bring out. Remember they never said anything about the Corolla XRS, and it just Popped up on the Toyota Website?

This is what I'll say about the upcoming 08 Toyota Sequoia according to my source Toyota has been tooling around with an Ext type Sequoia all thought it's possibility and coexistent has been heavily been quiet The 2008 Sequoia will be very much be based off the 07 Tundra yet as before expect the rear suspension setup to be vastly different vs the Tundra which is too be expected for an suv. The turning ratios has also been improved and Toyota has revamped new SUV features being similar to the Gm Yukon and Tahoe. Overall the interiors are larger and seating comfort I'm told is vastly improved vs Before. Toyota has made great effort's on there new Full sized Sequoia stay turned..

Any idea if the 3rd row seats will fold flat into the floor?

I heard a little birdie tell me that both rows fold flat into the floor.

That would kick. I would trade mine in so fast if that was the case. I am always hauling stuff around for work. My poor trucks take a beating for work.
My '92 4runner was used to plow snow, tow very heavy stuff, now has 390,000kms on it & is now my bush truck. The clutch & shocks have only been done once. Never broken down yet. Over half the milage has been towing.
Now it looks like my Sequioia is following the same fate as the 4runner has been sitting in the garage for 3 months waiting for me to finish the endgate.
A 5.7L, fold flat seats, towing upped to 10,000 lbs - soulds like the perfect solution to me. Now only if they had a deisel in it to.

I will trade in my 07 Tacoma Double Cab for an 08 Sequoia as soon as it comes out. A 5.7 liter V8... wow I would think it would be able to tow atleast 9,500 lbs. I almost bought a Sequoia when I bought my Tacoma but the styling on the current model is so dated I opted to wait, I am glad to see it is on it's way.
That new white SUV shown in the thumbnail up top almost undoubtably looks 4Runner sized.
I am very interested in this new sequoia - it will have several in class bests w/ the new 5.7 liter. A diesel would be sick but I don't see this happening.
In order to stay with competition, the 3rd row seats, and probably the second row, will HAVE to fold flat. Question - do fold flat seats actually eat up more cargo room than do removable seats? It sure is a heck of alot more convenient, at least.
I wonder if the Sequoia will retain kinda high in class off road ability. With its monstrous ground clearance and ATRACS system, the current Sequoia is fairly capable compared with the competition IMO, except maybe the Tahoe or Urban w/ rear locker.

Anyone out there bought a first yr new/ redesigned model Toyota and regretted it? I'd like to buy a 2008 Sequoia but am worried about it having new model bugs.
Is anyone willing to guess if it will have more options as a fully loaded new Tahoe (back up camera, rainsense wipers, 20 inch chrome wheels, remote start, power liftgate, on-star) and will similarly priced (under $50K)? For 2007 a fully loaded Tahoe to a fully loaded Sequoia is no real comparison. For almost the same price ($43 Toy vs. $45K Chevy on carsdirect.com) the Tahoe offers so much more. I'm hoping I'm making the right choice by waiting for the 2008 models.
What type of milage is the 5.7 giving the new Tundra owners? Also, if the Sequoia is scheduled to begin selling in Jan or Feb how soon can I order one?

I just hope the after market can do more for this Seq than previous....I've been on the fence with a new Suburban and a Rancho lift...as long as we can get Pro Comp, Fab Tech or Rancho to kick it up without spacers I'll be getting one only if it's an XL version. Need space guys at Toyota!!!
